JANEY DEVINE FRPS
ETHIOPIA
A land of mystery- a fusion of African and Asian cultures. Lying in the Horn of Africa, Ethiopia lies some 200 miles north of the Equator. A land of huge landscapes, massive rock formations, fertile valleys, and barren desert. A country held in check by famine and wars. Donkey and horse-drawn carts, mud huts and village markets are the norm. But with a new Prime Minister making peace with Eritrea in the north and aided by massive Chinese investment, the country now seems set to move towards the 21st century.
In December 2018, my sister and I decided to visit this fascinating country.
